Yes. Your data is stored in an encrypted database with strict per-user access controls — nobody else, including other HomesteadHQ users, can see your homes, documents, or contractors. Uploads are held in a private storage bucket and served through short-lived signed links, so only you can open your files. Payments are processed by Paddle; we never see or store your card details.
You keep full Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for. After that, your account drops to the Free plan — your home, appliances, tasks, contractors, and documents all stay in place; only the paid features (unlimited items, AI assistant, warranty and reminder emails) turn off. You can resubscribe anytime and pick up right where you left off.
Yes. Every document you upload can be downloaded from the Documents page at any time on any plan — free or paid. Nothing gets locked behind a subscription. If you ever want to leave, you can pull your files out first.
No — the 7-day trial is $0. You add a payment method so the plan can roll over automatically if you love it, but you can cancel any time in those 7 days and won't be charged. After the trial, your selected plan renews at the listed price until you cancel.
